MULTIFAMILY HOUSING
A large percentage of the Community Development Commission of the County of Los Angeles (CDC) administered loan programs go to assist in the development and construction or renovation of multifamily rental housing. The CDC defines multifamily housing as housing with four or more units in a single building. Affordable rents and income restrictions are required in exchange for favorable loan terms from the HOME or City of Industry Programs.
The CDC or the Housing Authority of the County of Los Angeles (HACoLA) may be a key lender, or one of several public lenders or funding sources helping to structure the financing for a multifamily project. Both private and non-profit housing development organizations or entities are eligible to apply for funding assistance.

Apartment buildings or complexes that receive financing assistance from the CDC or HACoLA are required to submit annual compliance reports which are monitored by CDC staff.
