WAITING LIST REFERRALS FOR THE SECTION 8 PROGRAM
The organizations listed here are authorized to submit Housing Choice Voucher (HCV Section 8) waiting list
referrals for homeless families to HACoLA. These waiting list referrals are only for
homeless families. If you are a
homeless family in need of housing assistance, you may contact one of these
organizations to inquire about eligibility.
PUBLIC HOUSING SITE-BASED WAITING LIST SELECTIONS
If you are currently on the
Public Housing- Site Based Waiting list, you may check your status or update
your information. Please be advised, applicants are required to notify the
Housing Authority in writing, within 30 calendar days, when circumstances
change, including any change of address, income, or family composition. To

||HACoLA NON-SMOKING POLICY
Effective July 1, 2014, HACoLA will strictly prohibit smoking on all our public housing properties except at the Southbay Gardens senior housing development located at 230 E. 130th Street, Los Angeles CA 90061. The smoke free policy applies to all residents, guests, visitors, vendors and staff. At Southbay Gardens, smoking is permitted in a specified open area that is at least 20 feet away from a HACoLA building and is clearly labeled as a “Smoking Designated Area.”
BEWARE of scams that charge a fee for applications for any affordable housing programs or project, including the Section 8 program. Our Section 8 waiting list is closed and no one can legitimately register you for this list.
